I’m a professional singer, songwriter, playwright, and independent producer. My mission is simply to connect with audiences in a meaningful way. I love the process of creating something from nothing: making an artistic vision come alive onstage.
Square Note Productions is all about versatility, collaboration, and generosity, framed by artistic excellence.
My goal is to make it easier for performers to showcase their talents and share work they love without waiting for an institution to program it for them. I curate a wide variety of works for all types of audiences. I ensure performing artists are paid, a goal which means cultivating sponsors and donor relationships based on respect and shared values.
And I work to make audiences feel nurtured and welcomed at every production.
Our Values
Square Note Productions emerged from my own experience as an independent artist, wishing for more interesting creative opportunities for myself. But if you want something done, it turns out you have to do it yourself! I discovered the joy of programming and producing my own work, and along the way met many collaborators who share my outlook and motivation.
The performing arts has always struggled to balance vision, funding, and engagement. This is especially true in a digitally-saturated modern world, where people’s willingness to gather and experience art collectively has been challenged.
Instead of fighting current cultural reality by trying to force old approaches toward programming, I want to offer new ways of connecting artists, audiences, and supporters that builds up our community and culture, one show at a time.
